Joanne Gilbert

Study Director - Environmental Fate, Environmental Risk Sciences

Joanne Gilbert has nearly 30 years of experience in contract research. She joined Smithers as a study coordinator and is now responsible for environmental fate and metabolism study directing, primarily for soil, water and water-sediment studies. Her expertise includes organizing and running studies, ensuring that the data is clear and accurate, and writing reports. She worked previously for Huntingdon Life Sciences and Covance Laboratories, and received her BSc (hons) in Chemistry with Analytical Chemistry and Toxicology (First class) from Hull University. She is a chartered chemist and member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, and is a member of the British Riding Clubs Association and British Horse Society.
