The sponsorship provides special benefits related to Smithers services for all ARPM members, including product performance testing, analytical and physical material testing, as well as consulting services.

Current ARPM members can review these new benefits by logging into the members’ area of the ARPM website.

 “The ARPM is excited to introduce Smithers and its expert testing services as a new membership benefit,” said Troy Nix, executive vice president of ARPM. “Testing for rubber materials and products was one of the key services our members indicated as desirable. This new partnership with Smithers strengthens the Association’s offering and resource pool for our members.” The sponsorship also includes member benefits to services which include quality management evaluations for ISO certification and supplier audits.

Smithers’ extensive expertise in rubber materials, compounding and rubber based products extends back to 1925, when the company was founded in the Rubber City of Akron, Ohio. In addition to independent testing services, Smithers plans to offer several informative webinars aimed at providing technical insight into challenges that rubber product manufacturers face each day.  These events will be scheduled and communicated through ARPM over the coming months.
