Smithers UK-based Distribution Testing facilities have recently undergone an expansion leading to a smarter work space.

The new building space in Leatherhead, Surrey is already paying dividends; a new pallet store has led to improved sample management and an optimized testing process that meets even the most complex of client requirements. Alongside the new pallet store further office space has been created to accommodate the growing team.

James Raw, Operations Director for Packaging and Physical Testing at Smithers comments: “the new facilities area supports the continued development of Smithers Distribution Testing business. Visiting clients will immediately notice the additional space in the laboratory area allowing for greater interaction with samples during testing.”

Raw continues, “The Distribution Testing department is also growing – our new team members are providing a diverse range of testing, packaging and materials skills for our customers to benefit from.”

Smithers offers a comprehensive range of testing services, from primary pack analysis to accelerated and real-time transit testing. Our UK laboratory is ISTA certified and UKAS accredited to ISO 17025.
