Smithers Appoints a Pharmaceutical Development Services Resource and Operations Optimization Director

(Gaithersburg, MD) – June 17, 2024 – Smithers, a leading provider of testing, consulting, information, and compliance services, announces the appointment of Andrea Wakefield as the new Resource and Operations Optimization Director to Smithers Pharmaceutical Development Services Division.  Wakefield brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise with over 20 years of experience in regulated bioanalysis with contract research organizations (CROs) and the biotech industry.

Wakefield is skilled at streamlining Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs), implementing vendor agreements, and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs).
