Many in-service product and component failures are caused by fatigue from vibration. These are avoidable with appropriate validation or investigative laboratory vibration testing. Smithers supports clients with life cycle durability testing ranging from "test-ready", to more complex vibration testing projects where test method review, test bench development and monitoring is required.

Smithers also has expertise in vibration analysis under adverse climatic conditions. We regularly undertake automotive vibration testing combined with severe cold and hot conditions, utilizing free-standing climatic chambers or by designing and assembling a custom chamber to enclose a vibration table to suit a specific requirement.
